This composition was built with everyday objects from my studio and leftover paper scraps.
The set-up was simple: a board covered in black cloth placed between two chairs,
natural lighting and a camera on a tripod. Quick and easy.
This is the .raw image captured with a Fuji XT-2 and a 60 mm macro lens.
Because this scene was shot close to a large window it needed little extra lighting.
I only used a handheld LED light to brighten the shadows.
Here's a quick run-through of the image retouching in Photoshop.
Just some basic refinements and an equal amount of sand in the hour glass.
The aim wasn't a polished look but more of a used workspace.
The final image was used as a masthead on my portfolio landing page.
