Hexagon Animals
The story behind my Hexagon Animals is pretty simple. I took a break from client work to play around in Adobe Illustrator. I was determined to make something with a hexagon, a shape that was popping up in designs everywhere. It's a very strong and intriguing shape, easy to stack and play around with. And that is exactly what I did. Once I started to break apart the pattern I designed at first, the shape of a bear's head started to appear. After that, I kept on playing around with it and ended up creating a series of animal heads that I turned into these hand screenprinted postcards and poster, using copper ink. I also turned my Hexagon Bear into a mural, using weather strip and paint.
